The Sixth Conference on Cultural and Creative Industries will be held in Patras on 6-7 December 2024, aiming to document research activity in Greece, facilitate the exchange of ideas among all stakeholders, and create opportunities for new collaborations. The conference is organised by the Institute of Regional Development of Panteion University, the Departments of Spatial Planning and Development Engineering & Journalism and Mass Media of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and CreaSus partner, Mosaic // Culture and Creativity.
In this frame, CreaSus is proud to be represented by its member George Sarlis, Co-founder of Mosaic // Culture and Creativity, who will introduce the project, aims and expected outcomes. This will also the occasion to share the latest advancements of CreaSus system of indicators for CCSI’ sustainability self-assessment.
The conference will explore the evolving landscape of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) and offer opportunities to delve into key areas, including recent transformations in work, production, and consumption patterns affected by the pandemic and global crises. It will highlight technology’s influential role in shaping the CCI environment, as well as advancements in platforms and artificial intelligence that pose new challenges for artistic and creative practices. Participants will have the chance to discuss emerging forms of spatial organisation, such as collaborative workspaces, creative hubs, and shared spaces, as well as to engage in dialogues on fostering new partnerships within the social and solidarity economy, cultural commons, and other collaborative frameworks. These sessions aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the evolving CCI fields and foster opportunities for innovation and cooperation. In particular, you can expect sessions on:
