CreaSus has been featured in Tracing Constellations: Stories of Culture, Cooperation and Impact across Creative Europe Cooperation Projects 2021-2024, a new publication by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency and the European Commission. The publication presents a selection of 50 Creative Europe Cooperation projects funded between 2021 and 2024, showing how transnational cultural cooperation contributes to key European priorities.
The inclusion of CreaSus marks an important recognition of the project’s role in supporting the green transition of the cultural and creative sectors. CreaSus appears in the chapter dedicated to Green Transition and Sustainability, one of the five thematic “constellations” identified by the publication, alongside European Values and Democracy, New Practices and Models, Digital Transformation, and Youth.
Within this chapter, CreaSus is presented among projects that are helping the sector develop its own sustainability frameworks. The publication specifically highlights CreaSus as a project creating tools for creative industries, placing it within a wider group of initiatives that are turning sustainability into practical methods, resources and models for cultural organisations.
This directly reflects the core ambition of CreaSus: to help cultural and creative organisations move from sustainability as a general objective to sustainability as a concrete part of their strategy, management and daily practice. Many organisations, especially micro and small enterprises, are under growing pressure to adapt to environmental and social expectations, but often lack tools designed for their specific needs and capacities.
CreaSus responds to this gap by developing integrated resources that support holistic sustainability across environmental, social and governance dimensions. The publication highlights several of the project’s main outputs, including the Sustainability Self-Assessment Model and digital platform, the Sustainable Transformation Actions and business models, the Sustainability Funding Schemes Toolkit, and the Certification Viability Analysis, which explores the potential for a European sustainability certificate for the cultural and creative sectors.
The project is currently being piloted by more than 50 cultural organisations across Spain, Italy, Greece, Ireland and other European contexts. Through this process, CreaSus is testing the relevance, usability and scalability of its tools with real organisations working in different cultural and creative environments.
Being featured in Tracing Constellations places CreaSus within a broader European narrative where culture is not only adapting to the green transition, but actively contributing to it. The publication shows how Creative Europe Cooperation projects are developing new methodologies, building skills, reducing environmental impact and helping the sector imagine more sustainable models of cultural practice.
For CreaSus, this EU-level feature reinforces the relevance of its work at a moment when cultural and creative organisations need accessible, practical and strategic tools to connect sustainability, competitiveness and long-term transformation.
