The CreaSus project was recently selected by the University of Bari Aldo Moro as one of the most outstanding initiatives developed across its departments and presented at the Green Fair, held in Bari, Italy, from 14 to 16 May 2026.
Dedicated to sustainability, environmental innovation and the energy transition, the Green Fair brought together companies, universities, research centres, institutions and citizens to exchange knowledge and foster dialogue on some of the key challenges shaping the transition towards more sustainable systems. Topics addressed throughout the event included decarbonisation, energy communities, green hydrogen, artificial intelligence applied to energy systems, the circular economy and ESG-related issues.
Within this context, CreaSus was presented as an example of how research, innovation and stakeholder engagement can contribute to advancing sustainability in the cultural and creative sectors. The project highlighted its work in supporting cultural and creative organisations to better understand, assess and integrate sustainability principles into their practices, with particular attention to practical tools, ESG approaches and knowledge transfer.
During the fair, CreaSus attracted interest from visitors, students, researchers and stakeholders, opening opportunities for exchange around the role of emerging sectors in sustainable transformation. Its presence at the Green Fair also underlined the importance of connecting academic research with real-world practice, ensuring that sustainability-related knowledge can be translated into concrete approaches, collaborations and solutions.
