Taking place on the 15th and 16th of February in Madrid, Spain, CreaSus kick-off meeting was hosted by the coordinator entity, Fundación Banco Santander (FBS), both at the Impact Hub Alameda and FBS headquarters office.
With a unified presence from all consortium members, including ENCATC, Mosaic, University of Bari, WestBIC, and Zabala Innovation, the gathering commenced with a warm welcome from Borja Baselga, Director of Fundación Banco Santander. His opening remarks underscored the profound importance of CCSIs and articulated the pivotal role of the project in advancing social and environmental causes across Europe.
Following this, Roberto Bernad, CreaSus Project Manager (FBS), provided a comprehensive overview of the CreaSus’ scope and expected outcomes. This set the stage for a robust discussion among members, exploring both the opportunities and challenges in project implementation, as well as ensuring the quality and relevance of the anticipated outcomes. Transitioning from this broad perspective, the afternoon was dedicated to each working group presenting its specific objectives, tasks, milestones, and deliverables. This collaborative exchange allowed partners to address inquiries and strategize the most effective means of intergroup cooperation to achieve diverse results.
The day concluded with invaluable insights shared by our Project Officer, Adriana Godeanu-Metz (EACEA), offering practical advice for project implementation.
On the second day, the agenda commenced with a detailed presentation of the communication and dissemination strategy by ENCATC. Subsequently, the University of Bari UNIBA introduced an initial conceptual framework for assessing the sustainability of CCSIs. This presentation sparked an enriching dialogue among partners, delving into the nuances of indicator consistency, legal disparities across different countries, and the diverse legislative landscapes governing CCSIs.
To wrap up the Kick-off meeting, a collaborative review of the work plan was conducted, fine-tuning phases and timelines for optimal project execution.
