CreaSus is a European project aimed at guiding and supporting Cultural and Creative Sector Industries (CCSIs) to make sustainability a central part of their operations—and a source of competitive advantage.
Running from October 2023 to September 2026, CreaSus combines the development of practical tools and indicators, capacity-building activities, and piloting initiatives all around the Europe. It is co-funded by the European Union under the Creative Europe programme and project focuses on helping CCSIs become more resilient and diversified by integrating sustainability into their business models, encouraging innovation, and fostering the growth of strong, competitive European creative enterprises.
A Tool Built for the Creative Sector
With the launch of the CreaSus online self-assessment tool, CCSIs across Europe now have access to a free, easy-to-use platform that helps measure and improve their sustainability performance.
The self-assessment is based on a “readiness approach,” which evaluates how prepared an organization is for strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance and reporting—without requiring extensive time, data, or resources.

Who can take part to CreaSus?
In order to take part to the project, CCSIs need to:
- be registered in a European Union country;
- develop the main activity in one of the creative and cultural sectors as defined by the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.
