CreaSus was present as a case study of the Creative Europe cooperation project during a webinar held last December. The host of the session was the Spanish Creative Europe Desk, the national contact point of the Creative Europe programme.
The objective of the webinar was to introduce the Creative Europe 2025 cooperation projects call. The call aims at supporting transnational projects in the field of cultural and creative sectors. The Spanish Creative Europe desk invited Roberto Bernad, Project Manager for CreaSus at Fundación Banco Santander, to present CreaSus. Indeed, it was introduced as one of the projects that were selected in the 2023 Cooperation Projects call.

During his intervention, accessible through this link, Roberto Bernad had the opportunity to delve into the most practical details of the CreaSus participation to the call. Among a variety of points, he touched upon the importance of some crucial CreaSus features. First, he talked about the idea to promote and ease sustainable transformation in the cultural sector. This is as relevant as the necessity to scale up a model to give answers to the organizations’ needs. Then, he concentrated on the relevance to find the right partners to collaborate in this kind of projects.
The project will produce a set of resources that aim at promoting the sustainable transformation of cultural and creative organizations. They include a sustainability self-assessment and a set of actions to improve CCSIs’ sustainable transitions. Also, a funding schemes toolkit with financial is provided, besides a set of sustainability-centered business models.
Roberto Bernad outlined some criteria that don’t only show how to take part to the Creative Europe Cooperation Projects call – they also demonstrate why the CreaSus project is being appreciated by CCSIs all around Europe.
The project is about to enter the piloting phase. CreaSus invites all organizations in the cultural and creative sectors in the European Union. They’ll have the possibility to test the sustainability self-assessment tool and the sustainability transformation actions.
The piloting phase will help organizations to evaluate their performance, organize sustainability data, and use it to create added value in their offerings. Their participation will help CreaSus to improve the resources and propose better materials for the sustainable transformation of the sector in Europe.
